Hello, welcome and congratulations for investing in a licence for Sentient Trader!
Here we are going to go through the process of activating a Sentient Trader licence for the first time. This also applies when moving or activating an ulterior licence, but we are going to go through the process step by step in case of difficulties for the first time.
Let's get started!
1) First of all you will need to download and install the actual software. You should have been provided with a link to download the installer when you purchased. If you can't find the link our support team will be happy to provide you with a link to download. Simply send us an email at support@sentienttrader.com or click on the following link: download.
2) Once the software is installed start it up. Without a licence all the menus will be greyed out and inaccessible, except for the Help menu. Click on that menu and then click on "Activate licence".
3) You will be presented with a "Welcome to Sentient Trader" splashscreen. In that window you will find a space for your email and a space for your licence key.
4) First insert the email address you used when you purchased the licence. Then click on "Request Licence Key".
5) After a short wait you should see the message "Your license activation key has been emailed to you. Please check your email inbox!".
6) Now open up the inbox for the email address you inserted. You should receive a new licence key almost immediately. Check your inbox and also your spam folder just in case.
7) Once you've located the email we recommend you to copy the activation key. Now you can go back to the window in Sentient Trader and paste the activation key into the space for the licence key.
8) Finally click on the "Activate Licence" button in the bottom right-hand corner. Activation should take a few seconds, after which you will see the message "License activation successful.", followed by the type of licence.
Congratulations, you have now activated your licence!
N.B. The most common problems during activation are temporary server downtime or connection problems. If you do encounter a problem during activation please wait a few minutes then try again. If the problem persists please contact us at support and we'll be happy to help.
